Bring Down The Walls | Lakuti & Yvonne Turner

Back in September 2024, we had the great pleasure of welcoming Lakuti, Tama Sumo and their Bring Down The Walls event for a night with special guest, the New York dance music icon Yvonne Turner.

Yvonne was a brilliant speaker, filling our Niemetzstrasse space with wisdom, laughs and incredible stories about the formative years of house music & Electronic music as we know it . She also answered some audience questions, and despite the questions not being audible in this recording, you can hear her great responses.

Bring Down The Walls is an anti-racist and multi cultural platform with music at its core. It has been hosted by Lakuti and Tama Sumo since 2018. It aims to unearth and highlight stories and contribution to culture by marginalised communities.
